FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The V-6 gas trims (LX through SX Prestige) are EPA-rated at 18 city/26 highway/21 combined mpg, while the hybrid trims (LXS Hybrid through SX Prestige Hybrid) rate 34 city/32 highway/33 combined mpg. Both powertrains share the same 19-gallon tank, so the hybrid goes noticeably farther between fill-ups.

Every 2027 Carnival configuration, gas or hybrid, offers 145.1 cubic feet of total cargo volume behind the front seats with the second and third rows folded or removed.

Towing capacity isn't listed in Kia's published specs for this model, so we can't state a rated figure here; check with a dealer for the current tow package rating before planning to haul a trailer or camper.

The Sienna is hybrid-only, while the Carnival offers a choice between a 287-hp 3.5L V-6 (21 mpg combined) and a 242-hp turbo hybrid (33 mpg combined), giving buyers a power-versus-efficiency choice the Sienna doesn't. The Santa Fe is a two-row/three-row crossover rather than a minivan and won't match the Carnival's 145.1 cu ft of cargo room or 7-8 passenger minivan layout; the Voyager is a shorter-lineup minivan that Kia's spec sheet doesn't cover here for direct number comparison.

Seating capacity is 8 across most trims, except the LX which seats 7; all trims share the same 145.1 cu ft cargo figure regardless of seating configuration.

MSRP starts at $37,490 for the base LX and runs to $53,590 for the SX Prestige Hybrid, with the standard SX Prestige (gas) at $51,590 and hybrid trims generally priced a few thousand above their gas-trim counterparts at the same trim level.
